Painting in Blairmore, 2017

This is the first attempt at this, It wil be kind of a journal of our trip to Southern Alberta. We will travel from Grand Rapids to the small mining town of Blairmore in the Crowsnest Pass. Our son Paul will go with us to do most of the driving and he is taking his daughter Anneka with him, so there will be four of us traveling together.

Right now we are in the middle of our preparations, selecting and setting aside what we wish to take and what we cannot take. There are several paintings that we would like to take to the gallery in advance of our coming for a second time. The work above will be one of the guides to follow and will define what we will focus on this trip, for me I want to explore the foothills and the view of the Prairie from there or a view of the mountains. There will be plenty to explore.
